However, the over the counter creams are OK, they are for dry and irritated skin.|||Eczema cream is not going to hurt you. If you have the flakiness like you say, you may want to use an ointment instead of a cream.
Eczema is a lack of moisture in the skin. It worsens during the winter months and gets somewhat better during the summer with high humidity.
There are several ointments that you can by over the counter. Eucerin has one called Aqua (something) sorry can%26#039;t remember the second part|||You should probably try to use hypoallergenic products - avoid colors, fragrances but also harsh preservatives.

Also for the occasional flare-up, try a little hydrocortisone cream - its works wonders
