Eczema creams and remedies?

My son has a small patch of Eczema on his forehead. I took him to the doctor for this and was told to just leave it alone and if it worsens, to try Cortaid on it. Has anyone else used Cortaid on their baby%26#039;s Eczema and did it work? Also, if you have any other remedies that work, I%26#039;d appreciate the advise. Thanks.|||my 4 yr old has fought with eczema since he was 18months. (mostly in the winter) it%26#039;s not serious enough that the Dr%26#039;s need to prescribe anything but its irritating enough to him. we were told to try similar things and we did. We tried: cortaid (Eucerin, aquaphor, and aveeno) and similar products, plain un-scented lotion, eczema creams from dermatologists, eczema creams from the baby and pharmacy isles...EVERYTHING. and the only thing we found that heals his in a very short time and sooths it for him is plain old Vaseline (petroleum jelly) it as no additives in it that can just irritate the skin further and yet it protects it and keeps it moist. it%26#039;s the miracle worker in our house.

good luck.|||my son had terrible eczema all over his cheeks and chin when he was 7 weeks. i put on Aveeno lotion for eczema and it worked WONDERS. it cleared up two days later. i use it daily now.|||try Clotrimazol Creme (anti fungal) like Lotrimin AF or walmarts equate brand .. because it always could be a yeast infection / fungal infection|||I tried hydrocortisone but it never really went away

However, this all-natural product for my son - and now he%26#039;s off the cort..

Its called Surestop for eczema at www.katuri.com

They only promise 60-75% relief but it did better for him-

Read it up and you can see why it works,..|||There are gels and even powders.ONE IS BORO PLUS.PLEASE CONSULT ONLY A SKIN SPECIALISTS|||hydrocortizone 1% (nothing more %26amp; with nothing added ex:aloe) always worked for my baby.

at 2 months he had really red and scaly skin on his face... it cleared it up in a few days. you can find it at a pharmacy or any big grocery store. i bought it at walmart.

just recently at 10 months he had redness again. i put it on for 2 days and it cleared up. 2x a day after cleaning the face... bath or warm washcloth.|||There is a cream for eczema made by Aveeno, worked really well for my babies. If it is really bad I used a dab of hydrocortisone also.|||What usually worked for us was putting a little lotion or hydrocortisone on the area after a bath, but while the skin was still moist.|||My son is 18 months %26amp; still battling eczema all over his arms %26amp; legs, the best remedy we have found is to use cetaphil soap on the patchs of eczema at bath time. (pedetrician recommended) follow with a heavy lotion like aveeno for eczema. works wonders! also try to put lotion on it before going outside cause the air will irritate it %26amp; cause it to flare up.|||I use baby aveeno soothing relief moisture cream. It is for dry skin from eczema. Try it out. It works for me. My daughter has some patches on her back. The doctor said use creams instead of lotions.|||My nephew has Eczema and we use Sarna, Eucerin, and Aquaphor on his skin and they stop the itch and if its used on the regular it will go away. You also have to be careful with what his skin come in contact with cause that will flare it back up.
