I just went to another dermatologist for this same problem. I%26#039;m not sure if there are different types of eczema, but he said that I have a pretty bad case. I told him that different lotions seem to work for a little while, but then they stop working. He said that%26#039;s typical and will probably keep happening. He said to stay out of the sun, and he prescribed me a lotion/wash to use in the shower. It%26#039;s part Cetaphil lotion, and part hydrocortisone. It seems to be working a bit, but nothing phenomenal. Sorry, I guess that%26#039;s not really an answer, huh?|||I have found taking taking 500mg. of Evening Primrose Oil 2 in the morning and 2 at night have cured my outbreaks of eczema.
You can also try pricking the capsule and rubbing it directly on the spot may speed up the process.|||Lotions or creams are no good and may give temporary frustrating relief. Better to get a pail of very hot water.
Mine started as a patch then raged on really big.

My daughter had eczema as a baby and she grew out of it by 5.
We use only Dove soap on her skin because it has moisterizers, and Aveeno lotion which seals in the moisture(the key is the oatmeal - it%26#039;s a proven anti itch remedy).
It can get expensive, but it%26#039;s worth it... it worked for our family.|||actually olive oil works very well in moisturizing|||hydrocortizone is really good but sometimes you need a prescription. if that doesn%26#039;t clear it up seek medical advice|||eucerin cream and bag balm that should do the trick
