there is a good cream called eucerin and its an extremely dry skin cream for eczema for the treatment of dry itchy flaky skin conditions it contains urea a natural moisturiser present in healthy skin,as dry skin conditions lower the amount of urea levels in your skin and it is available on prescription|||When I had it as a child, the doc gave me hydrocortizone cream, but I believe that%26#039;s banned nowadays because it unreversibly thins your skin.
I believe the best creams or ointments to treat exzema nowadays are E45 and Sudacream, both available from your chemists.
Good luck. I know how painfully irritating this condition can be.|||I use 1% triamcinolone but had togo to ER the other night and it had gone to second stage which I did not know it came in stages and It is very painful,,,I think stress plays a big role in any skin condition You must find a good dermatologist and follow his or her instructors and be your own detective as I really think it can only be kept under control and no cure, Good Luck,,,|||I have found the best cream for my eczema. My doctor prescribed me fluocinocide. Its great. I put a dab on every morning then I put aveeno lotion overtop of it. My friend at work showed me this rash she had, and I self diagnosed her because it looked exactly like eczema, she went to the doctor and asked for fluocinocide and she loved it too.|||My son has suffered with eczema since birth, he is now ten years old.We had struggled for years with different creams, some would clear his skin completely but then he would seem to become immune to them. About two years ago, he was having an acute episode, with approx 20 wet lesions over his body and legs. After doing some research on the internet, I came across a cream which a lady was using in America, which had excellent results. After trying so many things to help my son (including chinese herbs!) I was obviously very wary. I managed to find the ingredients in the cream and spoke to a pharmacist who I work with(I am a district nurse). The only active ingredients in the cream were urea and hydrocortisone which were found in a cream called %26quot;Alphaderm%26quot;. I tried this on my son, who was 8 at the time and within 3 days all his lesions were dry!.It is 2 years later, he gets a small flair-up now and again, but we apply the cream straight away and it just goes. I also believe that certain food additives affect his skin, but as yet have not been able to establish which ones.I have prescribed this cream to some of my patients and have had excellent results. Hope this helps.|||My sis use to have it before she moved out and she went to the doc... the steroids may be effective, prolonged or over use will cause skin atrophy which weakens the skin and leads to frail skin later in life. But sometimes Sorbolene based creams, often soothes the causes depends skin type or how worst it is.She aslo told me abput this that Calendula helps to sooth and heal itchy, dry skin while centella asiatica helps to repair damaged skin. Propolis can reduce the redness of the skin irritation.
Try to look it up. Have fun! :)|||Fucibet cream on prescription worked for me|||dermavate|||Hi - your doc will prescibe you something, or if its only little bits then Id recommend HC45, bought over the counter at any Pharmacist. Ive been using it for years (have had it for 20+ years) and find its great at tackling breakouts. :O) Hope this helps. Bex x|||you%26#039;ll often need a combination of two creams. One is an anti-inflammatory cream to bring the inflammation down, these are often hydrocortisone based. Then you need a mositurising cream like E45.|||Whether the Dr prescribes you a steroid cream like dermovate, eumovate or hydrocortisone. You will still need a good emollient to put moisture back into the skin. Aqueous cream, emulsifying ointment, E45, Epaderm are all great. and can also be used as soap substitutes to avoid further aggravation. Using emollients in conjunction with wet wrap bandages is very effective in severe cases of eczema.|||Betnovate works for me|||try a product called dream cream from Lush. it uses all natural products so it shouldn%26#039;t cause any problems|||depends how bad it is and whether u r in the uk as i dont know wot is available elsewhere. My son has eczema and has had E45 cream suitable for any skin codition. Try Oilatum products - creams, bath wash etc available over counter at chemist and for eczema that it is bad u need a steroid cream such as Hydrocortisone which works wonders . Good luck i suffer as well in cold weather or wen stressed and i now how crap it can be|||Oilatum is good, but i used to use marigold cream from the herbalist, its not cheap but it works.|||Not a cream but Dermarest for Psorasis is clearing mine up as I type! It was spreading all over my hand and I started using this a couple days ago. It stings when I put it on but then doesn%26#039;t hurt at all. It gets rid of the scales and the peals off the bad layer of skin. I usually use Vaseline Creamy Formula for lotion on it.|||Depends if you have been to the doctor and you are able to get it on prescription. If you can - Betnovate and dermovate are good. If not try E45 or Eucerin. I have had eczema for most of my life. On good days I just use Eucerin and on bad my Dermovate.|||I suffer with contact eczema ... I find that soaking in a bath with two cups of coarse sea salt ... then applying aqueous cream (in a tub) eases the itchiness and calms down the redness. Cortizone creams can be used in extreme cases ... but they honestly don%26#039;t cure the eczema ... there could also be a link to something you are eating!! My skin gets worse after I have eaten garlic or any processed foods which contain additives and preservatives!!
