I have really bad eczema , does anyone know anything i can use apart from my prescribed cream ?

I have really bad eczema , does anyone know anything i can use apart from my prescribed cream ?|||moisturisers work better than antibiotics cream, because ezcema thrive on the skin when it%26#039;s dry. i kept applying those creams with no significant improvement, but when i used moisturisers with the cream, it worked.

apply moisturisers and rub till it is absorbed into the skin, then apply your antibiotics cream.|||The best thing I%26#039;ve used as a preventative measure is a hand lotion with shea butter. Bath and body works has a couple products but you can probably get something cheaper at the drug store. If you have an outbreak, you can use hydrocortisone cream or benadryl cream that you can get over the counter.|||best stick with that hydro cream.|||I have horribly dry skin, but it%26#039;s not eczema(it%26#039;s not like my neices%26#039;). Just really dry. I had it on my shoulders, my chest, my legs, and my face.

I%26#039;ve tried Eucerin but did not like the feeling of it, nor did it work like I wanted.

I%26#039;ve tried coco butter, shea butter, and they didn%26#039;t work.

I%26#039;ve tried several different lotions and moisterizers (St. Ives, Jergens, etc), but they didn%26#039;t help.

I even took my neices%26#039; prescriptions and it didn%26#039;t help.(yeah I know you%26#039;re not supposed to do that, but I was desperate)

The only thing I%26#039;ve tried that worked was Baby Oil gel and increasing my water intake(I use the yellow topped one). I take my showers at night so that I can put it on and not look very oily throughout the day, because it does make you look shiny, lol. So I put that on after my shower and the dry skin is completely gone from my shoulders and if I put it on my legs more often I%26#039;m sure it%26#039;d work there too. I put it on my face(at night) and therefore by skin in the morning isn%26#039;t dry, and doesn%26#039;t look oily.|||My son has eczema and I did too as a kid.

We use Eucerin cream. My son%26#039;s Ped also recommends it for eczema.

It works wonders and is affordable!|||Go get a green square can of BagBalm at your local wal-mart in the medicine area by all the creams . Put this stuff on and it will keep your eczema and itchy feeling to a comfort level. Put this on 2-3 times a day everyday and it will not dry out your skin, promise!! This stuff was used for decades and decades with the fraction of the cost of a prescribed cream. One can will last for a long time. My family and many friends has had the best of luck with this product and many grew out of eczema including my sons and I . Please try it, it works!!|||I use Eurecin calming cream. It is a bit greasy but it helps. Also try taking a benedryl. Sarna lotion works too. There is also a lotion by Oil of Olay in a purple bottle (can%26#039;t remember the name of it) and it works well too.
