Aquaphor or Aveeno Oatmeal Lotion helps. I%26#039;ve also found good moisturizing lotions at places that make their own soaps and lotions.|||i have found relief with aquaphor ointment.|||Try Manuka Honey. You can get it online or at your local health food store. Manuka Honey is all natural and has been found to have no negative side effects. It cures eczema by repairing damaged skin and generating new skin growth.|||I had eczema when I was born. The best thing is to ask the pediatrician what would work best. Something natural that I can think of might be an oatmeal soap. It is good for dry or sensitive skin. You can buy it in the store or make it yourself.|||If you%26#039;re breastfeeding, try putting some of your breastmilk on his skin. I know it sounds strange, but breastmilk has many healing and moisturizing properties. It%26#039;s helped my 3 month old sons eczema.|||gl with something natural the hydro cream is the only thing that got rid of my sons.|||Arbonne baby care is very good and will help with Eczema!! It also is all natural!!|||gentle naturals is what i found works the best for my daughter, she had eczema real bad when she was born and i would use this stuff and it cleared right up.
now whenever she flares up i put some on her and its a lot better in just a few applications.
you can get it at walmart or walgreens or probably any pharmacy.|||My 3 month old son was just diagnosed with eczema, they told us not to use baby lotions or soap, only dove white for his bath and then eucerin to moisterize him (but you can get it generic at wal mart for only like $4). Also you can try vasaline. Good luck.

Best sun cream for a child with sensitive skin/eczema?
hi there, can anyone recommend a sun cream for an 18month old with eczema? The variety in boots is just so vast, many claim they are dermatalogical or hypoallergenic, or mild especially for babies, but last year we used one recommended for babies and she came out in a terrible rash (so quickly and so fast I thought it was meningitis and took her to A%26amp;E, they said she had a reaction to sun cream or possibly had a viral skin rash, so if any parents can personally recommend a brand (avaliable in uk) that they have had personal sucess using with their child with sensitive skin/eczema, I would appreciate your comments, and I will buy the brand that has the most possitive feedback! thanks.|||You could try Dr Hauschka sunscreen cream for children (SPF22). From the health food shop. Its very expensive but doesn%26#039;t contain many of the harsh chemicals in some other brands. Its a mineral sunscreen so has no chemical sun filters|||the E45 is widely used.|||e45 is very good as my brother uses it. but you can get a sun factor 30 from good health shops that are ideal for people that have skin allergy%26#039;s. my friend has something similar and his doctor recommended very small amounts of time on a special sun bed that they have in some hospitals,or you local tanning centre.it cleared his exma up very quickly so therefor he no longer has to suffer the way he used to. am so sorry your little boy is having to go through such an awful skin condition so young. wish you and your family all the best xx
4 month old eczema returning with use of steroid cream?
Long story short, my 4 month old had a severe breakout of eczema, all over her torso and the rest of her (including head.)
After many trials of aveeno creams, vanicream, aquaphor, cetaphil, etc (moisturizing 4 + times a day) and less baths, changing detergent, mom is on elimination diet....
I was prescribed a .02% steroid cream for her to apply 2 times a day up to 7-10 days. I used it for four days and her skin was nearly almost clear as day. I then cut down after day 4, to only applying once a day. Two days later now, she has red appearing on the eczema spots again as if it%26#039;s starting to flare. I dont%26#039; want to keep using the cream but was I supposed to use it the entire 7 days? The pharmacist said just to use it until her rash clears which I did... but now she%26#039;s starting to spot again and I DO NOT want it to get to the point where it was a week ago.
I%26#039;m not sure if its%26#039; because i stopped the cream to only once a day or if it%26#039;s because I picked %26quot;corn%26quot; as the food to re-introduce into my diet after the elimination trial I have been on (no soy, dairy, nuts, corn, egg, wheat, etc.)|||What kind of laundry detergent do you use? It might not be caused by anything you eat, but by the detergent you use on her clothes. Try something that is labeled %26quot;free and clear%26quot; of fragrances and dyes.|||I%26#039;m a holistic nutritionist, not a doctor (therefore no diagnosing or treating) but because you are asking at least partly a nutrition question . . .I%26#039;ll jump in here! Corn is one of the most allergenic foods and can be quite problematic with skin issues, particularly eczema. I would suggest eliminating it again and seeing if things clear up (and maybe leaving it and soy and diary out for a longer period of time).
You may want to talk to the pharmacist to clear up any misunderstanding re: the cream you are using as well.
As well, if you are using other products on your baby%26#039;s skin, some of those products may be making things worse. If they have synthetic chemicals (i.e. parabens), the ingredients can provoke a response in the skin or make the skin drier. You may want to check EWG%26#039;s Skin Deep Data Base and check out any products you are using on their rating system to see if maybe switching to a natural or certified organic product for baby%26#039;s sensitive/dry skin might help (I like Miessence%26#039;s Mother and Baby Range).
Finally, eczema is often at least partially a response to an essential fatty acid deficiency. Be sure you are getting enough omega 3 (i.e. salmon, flax or cod liver) and healthy omega 6 oils (i.e. evening primrose) each day (you can even poke open capsules of each and rub them on your baby%26#039;s skin.
Good luck and be persistent. Eczema can be a pain to deal with but sounds like you are determined to do what it takes. Good job!

Does anyone have eczema If so i found a cream and lotion that is making my little girls go away.?
You will have to get it by perscription but it is helping her like nothing else ever has, and we have tried a lot of different creams, %26amp; lotions. It%26#039;s called Desonide .05% It comes in a cream and a lotion. It is wondeful, she%26#039;s 6 yers old and has suffered horribly. Did i say i love this stuff?
I REALLY HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE, ECZEMA IS AWFUL TO SUFFER WITH AS YOU WELL KNOW IF YOU HAVE IT.|||You don%26#039;t realize it, but you may have just helped one person with the most awful thing in her life. My daughter has lupus and eczema and has suffered her entire life and has been hospitalized several times with it. She is now almost seven and it seems to be getting worse. She can%26#039;t swim in a pool like most kids and she has bad food allergies. The doctors have tried everything. We have been to seventeen doctors with no help. I am going to try this and see if it helps. Thanks soooooooo much for you help!|||Thanks!|||I%26#039;ve tried cortizone and it seems to work great. But thanks for the info.|||Well that%26#039;s nice I used to have a little of eczema but not any more

Can anyone recommend a good sun cream for a child with eczema?
I shall endeavour to keep him out of the sun as much as possible when we go on holiday next year, but I don%26#039;t want to spoil his holiday completely so I will need a good, high factor sun cream for my son. The problem is, he has very sensitive skin and the sun creams I have tried already -all claiming to be hypoallergenic or good for sensitive skins- have all caused him to have really bad reactions. Does anyone have any knowledge or experience of a good high factor sun cream that has been successfully used on eczema skin? Any recommendations would be gratefully received, as so far, my pharmacist has been a lost cause!|||I always found P20 worked well for little one - very pricey and you have to put it on at least half an hour before you get into the sun, but it never irritated his skin and it lasts all day through swimming etc etc.|||You might try a company called %26quot;Cactus Juice%26quot;
It may be of service to you. You can find them online through any search engine. Write them and ask your question. I am sure they would answer your concerns. Their product works very well.

I have dyshidrotic eczema. I have been to 3 Dr.s Cort cream, prednizone, anti -hists have little affect. HELP!
I have a feeling it may be related to something I am eating. Something the 3 Dr%26#039;s haven%26#039;t thought of.. My hands hurt BAD.. Any ideas?? They all say it%26#039;s stress...hahaha|||Hello there. I recommend that you should try anti-eczema cream and spray combo from http://www.champori.com It is herbal (no steroids) and it works better than anything else for my eczema.
Best,

My 3 month old son has eczema and i have Aveeno cream for this however can anyone recommend a washing powder?
i am doing other things to help, i.e. not bathing him too much, keeping the skin moisturised, keeping his fingernails short and putting mittens on. i have just started using the aveeno yesterday. he is also a breastfed baby which i will continue until he%26#039;s 1 years old. i wash his clothes with Fairy non-bio, but is there a better/purer washing powder i could be using? i%26#039;ve not seen any so i need some advice please. also i live in the uk so ideas of where to get any suggested items from would be great.|||Marks and Spencers has recently had some non-fragranced, non bio, hypo-allergenic washing liquid and powder in (as well as washing up liquid) but, with Xmas, that whole section seems to have shrunk.
Otherwise, Surcare from Sainsbury%26#039;s.|||i suufer from cold eczema and during the cold months everything irritates. the only thing i have found that truely works is putting my clothes on an extra rinse after a proper wash.
also my husband suffers from psorias (cant spell it at the mo) and again this works well for him all year round. however all meds presecribed by the doctor (creams, tabls etc) have not worked, we have both found that superdrug dry skin relief cream works excellantly. Its about 拢4 for a decent sized tub and its great|||SURCARE, in liquid form is best. (though they do make a powder as well) It%26#039;s on sale in most supermarkets, particularly Sainsbury%26#039;s., and also in Boots. It%26#039;s especially for very sensitive skin, and has no perfume.
My son is 24 and has eczema, he%26#039;s had it from being 2 weeks old.
