The area around my nose gets extremely red and dry and I have tried every cream on the market - I want to use something everyday that does not have any bad ingredients (such as cortizone or steroids) please advise! What can i use treat the eczema around my nose and ears with besides cortizone or steroid creams?
My nephew has eczema pretty bad so we have used Eucerin and also Mometasone Furoate Cream perscribed by his doctor. They both pretty well, but Eucerin seemed to do the trick and his is virtually cleared up. Everyone is different though. What can i use treat the eczema around my nose and ears with besides cortizone or steroid creams?

Hi Jamil
Here is a herb remedy that will work.
1. Take 1-3 droppersful of Echinacea Plus Tincture (at herbdoc.com or another qualified site) to strengthen the immune system.
2. Rub Garlic oil ALL over the affected area (Garlic will kill anything if you use enough of it)
3. Give 1-3 glasses of Activated Charcoal Slurry per day (to absorb the toxins out of the blood)
4. Mix equal parts of Aloe Vera Gel, Slippery Elm Powder and Activated Charcoal Powder together (absorbs the toxins externally)
5. Apply a thin layer of this mixture over the AFFECTED area(s).
6. Continue this treatment, until the desired Results are achieved.
This is healing at it's highest point.
Cause
Eczema is often called Dermatitis, and may be a symptom of an omega-3 fatty acid deficiency. Eczema can be due to allergies, allergies secondary to digestive disorders such as hydrochloric acid deficiency, rashes secondary to immune diseases, genetic metabolic disorders, and/or nutritional deficiencies, especially of niacin (vitamin B3) and B6, as well as other B vitamins.
To minimize your risk of developing eczema, avoid irritating substances, wear natural nonirritating materials, use soothing ointments, and check to see if dietary, nutritional, and/or and allergy-causing factors need to be considered.
Other ideas that will help:
Juice Therapy: The following juice combinations can help speed healing: black currant and red grapes; carrot, beet, spinach, cucumber, and parsley; and wheat grass juice.
Nutritional Supplementation: Vitamin A and GLA (gamma-linolenic acid), an omega-6 essential fatty acid found in high quantities in evening primrose oil, have both been shown to improve the symptoms of eczema. Vitamin E. Other useful supplements for preventing and reversing eczema include vitamin B complex, vitamin B6, vitamin E, magnesium, and zinc.
Topical Treatment: Apply evening primrose oil directly to cracked and sore areas of the skin. A topical paste made from ginkgo and licorice root extract has also been shown to improve eczema symptoms.

I had that over 75% of my body when I was a kid- there was no cream on the market that made it go away- essentially my doctor told me I would just have to live with it. Years later, I met a doctor who told me I was allergic to something I was eating and that it was making my skin react. I booked an appt with her and through a whole bunch of food allergy testing, I discovered that I had a reaction to potatoes, wheat and selected dairy products. I stopped eating the things that irratated me and it all went away. I can eat them all now sparingly and sometimes have a very very mild reaction but not very often. I was told that most peoples skin problems are a result of diet- basically taking in something your body doesn't like. Generally people think a food allergy has to result in a life threatening situation so they don't take it into consideration. Hope this helps in some way!
dairy products are the worst cause of eczema in children. cut these out of diet for a month and you should see an improvement.
try good old fashion oatmeal mix it just as package recommends and as it starts to cool to room temp rub it on ,its low cost and no doc. required leave on for about 10 min it take the itch out and puts alot of moisture in and you can apply it as many times as you like in a day .
Go and see your doc...ask for Fucibet 1% it takes out the redness reduces itching and is oily so gives a protective coating failing that try Bio oil from your local chemist it's good stuff and prevents scaring.
If she had weeping excema you really need to see your doc and ask him to show you how to wet wrap(time consuming but works wonders)
Vaseline! The best moisturizer EVER
I get it bad. I use betnovate 4 in 1.

I suspect an undiagnosed food allergy, likely wheat, soy, eggs, dairy or nuts. Does it get worse within 36 hours of her consuming any of these foods? If she eats them daily, like bread, it will cause an ongoing problem that wont resolve until the toxin is eliminated. When we took my niece off of wheat and soy, her eczema cleared right up
I've had breakouts all my life. :-(
Now I'm 25 and I get small patches here and there, the worst was when I was in my teens.
I use Eucerin cream (I now buy the Walmart version which is like $3!) Really good after a shower/bath before bed. I put it on, (sometimes I don't even blend in), and the next morning my skin is so soft and hydrated.
Sarna Lotion is really good for the itch. They sell it at drugstores in the medicated lotion/first aid aisle. I would reserve this for nighttime since the smell if very strong (smells like halls cough drops!)
Betamethasone is great too. They have generic Walmart or Target creams or ointments that contain this as an active ingredient.
My son has had eczema on his legs since he was born, he'll be two next month.
It doesn't give him any discomfort it just looks like it does.
When bathing him afterwards I put vaseline on his legs.
I can feel for your daughter. Sometimes I break out with eczema sometimes. Try something that has shea butter in it. I have use aveeno and so far I have been find. If nothing else works, maybe take her to the doctor and the doctor might give her some medicated lotions to use.
Eucerin is a good lotion, and it doesn't have irritating scents and oils. If not, Hydrocortizone cream. It's medicated cream.
Hve u tried starflower oil? You can get if from herbalists, my cousin uses it and swears by it.
You would be crazy not to use Repcillin, it can be found in Yahoo Stores or on eBay. It will help the eczema, read the Blog link below and tell me what you think?
You can buy it in the USA from http://www.africancures.com but visit http://www.repcillin.com to read more

My daughter is 8.has slight eczema, her skin is always';ashy';and she itches a lot.any good creams or lotions?
You have to try out different things, but beware, stay away from prescriptions like Mylicon etc. They have hormones in them that can affect her in the long run. Some of the great ones are lotions that are non greasy but moisturizing. Natural stuff like cocoa butter cremes with no additives and all natural stuff. Oatmeal baths are wonderful and avon has a great line call moisture therapy which works greatMy daughter is 8.has slight eczema, her skin is always';ashy';and she itches a lot.any good creams or lotions?
Aveeno lotions are good. My daughter has same problem. My daughter is 8.has slight eczema, her skin is always';ashy';and she itches a lot.any good creams or lotions?
my daughter has eczema. i started giving her cold liver oil every morning; sold at health food stores, they have kids varieties. she has been taking it for 4 months and hasn't had one more rash since the week after i starting giving it to her. it's worth a try cause it's worked so well for us...good luck.
diprobase is very good for eczema. it's a prescribed cream and is basically a very very good moisturiser!! it may help the itching by making it less dry. a varient of this product is doublebase
My step daughter had eczema also, we used Johnson %26amp; Johnson specifically for that problem. It's like vaseline but absorbs quicker. It's a light green tube about 6 oz. You might find it in the baby section where they have wipes and diapers. Works great! I actually used it on my heels and the cracks went away! Try it!
Any lotion is fine, but to be honest using a cream or ointment base would be better if your daughter has eczema.
Lotions all have alcohol in them, this helps them dry quickly (with no greasy feeling) but unfortunately dries out some of the moisturizing properties as well.
I prefer a cream like Eucerin, or a petroleum base like vaseline petroleum jelly or Aquaphor. They are much better moisutizers for skin. They may be a little greasier when you put them on, but are MUCH more effective. Use at least twice a day and *immediately* after bathing.
My son has eczema pretty bad. In my opinion, the prescription creams do not work. We use Aveeno, Lubriderm, %26amp; eczema body wash. I've noticed that the Aveeno and Lubriderm lotions work the best.
My 5 month old has eczema on her face. We give her extra vitamin c and lately it seems to have cleared up. This also worked with my three year old son. As far as creams, my husband has severe eczema and he uses Eucerin, but lately we have been using an all natural cream made of Calendula and Comfrey for him and the baby. I also put flax oil on her eczema, because people with eczema are lacking in certain fatty acids and it really helps. You can buy it in a natural food store.
Vaseline skin care is good.
Cetaphil lotion, and soap. My mother has that and it has gone away since she has been using that.
in my town is a great soap store. all natural products.
when my baby was about a month old his face was all red from eczema. i used their pumkinsoap every day twice for a week and his face was all healed!!! here is their homepage:
www.rockymountainsoap.com
I really recommend that soap!!! Like i said before, it's all naturel!!!
Try the Eucerin cream, its expensive but its worth it
All the people I know with excema have a prescription cream from their doctor.
i use Eucerin cream on my son and i also use Aveeno. The problem is that most lotions are not fragrance free and have alcohol in them so look at the label and make sure it says alcohol free and/or fragrance free. baby product are very sensitive so try that

My 2 yr son has eczema & we've seen many specialists, allergists. Tried various creams, what else can we do?
Exczema is an allergic reaction to something. Try eliminating one thing at a time from his diet and environment.
Tea tree oil works great to stop the outbreak, but nothing cures exczema except eliminating the allergen(s) causing it. Most allergists deal only with pollen caused allergies. It could be anything - laundry soap, cleaning products used in the home, food types, dyes used in food or clothing items, colognes/perfumes, lotions, etc.
Mine always breaks out when I eat something with tomato sauce in it (lasagna, pizza, spaghetti, etc.), but since I love some of those foods, I still eat them, just not very often. :)My 2 yr son has eczema %26amp; we've seen many specialists, allergists. Tried various creams, what else can we do?
Just for your info Renew skin lotion has high grade tea tree oil in it. But it is non drying so it works better than plain tea tree oil. Report Abuse

I've had success with applying a clay mask to the affected areas and leaving it on an hour or more. Also, I'm starting to hear that it might be due to a B-12 deficiency, which would make sense in that I have a problem with that.
I just did a google, and it does look like topical B-12 will help and should be available in a few months.
try useing a blood tonic.
Burdock and Yellow Dock decoction works by cleansing the blood( in his case make it weak)
also use Flax seed oil capsules or liquidacne scarring treatment

Are there any creams that will take away eczema or paralasiz??
Hey again. I was wondering if there was any creams that I could use for my skin. I've tried all sorts of creams that you can think of but it doesn't help at all.I've went to a dermatologist but it still is here. My skin is so dry sometimes it itches soo bad it burns, and is painful. It is on the inside of my arms, and it's on my chin. I hate scratching it, because it makes it worse, and very red.It used to be worse to a point where I couldn't even smile hardly. It looks like tiny little squares on my arms, with lines.Red and sore. I don't know what to do. I wear long sleeved t-shirts on me so no ones sees my arms, but there isn't anything really that I could do to cover my face except for my pink scarfe. Even if anyone has home-made creams that they could tell me, that would be great. I can't use scented creams though, it burns like very badly, and that makes it worse. And any suggestions also would be very great. Thank you and God Bless you all!!.Are there any creams that will take away eczema or paralasiz??
I had a weird eczema on my face that wouldn't get solved by cream and was driving me crazy. I started using the masque by Natura Essence (100% natural, organic and not full of nasties). I did the masque every day for a week...and it was gone. I now use the masque 3 times a week, and it hasn't returned. I had the problem with it for THREE YEARS. It's been over a year now, and my skin is great.
I also use their body moisturizer (all over...also as a face cream...I have their face cream too, but use that at night...as its a great night cream).
I think they sell body masques, and bath sets (I've seen them on their website). Good luck! I know what it is like to have that kind of problem, so I hope this helps! Are there any creams that will take away eczema or paralasiz??
another all natural product - you just have to find one that works for you.
This worked fabulously for my daughter's eczema, and I used it instead of the cortisone for her. It stopped the itching in the first 3 applications, which is the best thing, and the eczema went down slowly.
they sell samples to see if it works for you, and its easy to try their products.
its called Surestop to eczema at www.katuri.com
they say atleast 60% reduction in most cases.
good luck to you

What is the best cream to use for Eczema?
My 5 year old son has severe exczema. I have tried everything on him. Elidel worked for a little bit, but he would get used to it and break back out. (Then it was reported that it could cause cancer, so...) Other creams like Eurcerin and Aquaphor broke him out worse and would burn when I put it on him. His Dr. prescribed Pro-Topic, a cream that's applied everyday. It is the best thing he's ever had. Within 1 day his legs and arms were clearing and he was hardly scratching. And it doesn't burn! Lavender seems to work for him as well--even just the lavender baby bath. Vaseline works as well, but it must be applied within 5 mins after getting out of the bath, since that's when your body loses most of it's moisture. (I use Vaseline with lavender and chamomile on Micah) Also, you should only stay in the bath for about 15 mins and bathe in lukewarm water. Use a plain soap with no perfumes--original white Dove bar soap is the best. Good luck and I hope this helps! What is the best cream to use for Eczema?
I have heard that either Eucerin or Aquaphor are recommended for babies. Also, talk to you doctor but I have heard that you should check to see what is causing it- either a food allergy, contact from clothing, and/or bath soap (I know my DD is sensitive if we bathe her too frequently, and we used regular Dove soap for a while). What is the best cream to use for Eczema?
Eucerin
Eucerin
This stuff works wonders, especially if applied right after an oatmeal bath:
http://www.epinions.com/content_17774585鈥?/a>
It's all but eliminately my daughter's eczema
I have found that Eucerin worked the best for my family, one of my nieces and one of my nephews and my son all suffered from Eczema and we all have used this cream and found it to work well... my niece did have a more serious case and was seeing a dermatologist who also recommended this cream...
My granddaughter has eczema and we use Gold Bond Medicated body lotion on her, the ';triple action relief for extra dry %26amp; itchy skin'; formula. It works great. A nurse in her doctors office also recommended plain ol' shortening, like Crisco that comes in the tub. We prefer the Gold Bond because of the scent, but the Crisco did work.

definitely eucerin, cetaphil is also good for milder eczema
Eucerin is the best. My daughter had eczema and it worked great!
Elidel its a perscription but the BEST OF ALL
Lots %26amp; lots of Eucerin cream (not lotion). Also can try vaseline or Aquaphor. Apply cream after washing with warm water, when skin is still moist. For medicated ones, try hydrocortizone %1. If all fails, need to see a doctor for stronger medicine.
My physician recommended Eucerin.
eucerin or aquaphor for babies. My baby has it and the doctor gave me locoid lipocream. But you take a bath and use eucerin after each bath and that will help
I had prescription cyclocort (a cortizone cream) that was the absolute best. I have also used elocon on the kids eczema- As for an over the counter cure I swear by Bagbalm- it keeps the moisture in, does not irritate or burn and is also an antiseptic. I use it for many healing areas and not just eczema- but diaper rash and cuts. You can find it in a pharmacy or in the pet section of a store (it was designed for chapped cows udders) My daughter had lip repair as a baby and she had to use it on her stitches on her lip as per doctors orders. Its safe and effective!
I have eczema and I use auquaphor you can get it at wal-mart and it works wonders, I even went to a dermatologist nothing works like this stuff

eucerin or aquaphor for babies.
I had Eczema and my face was scared. How do you remove the scars, is there any creams or anything I can use?
No surgery or anything super expensive... just at home treatments, thank you in advanceI had Eczema and my face was scared. How do you remove the scars, is there any creams or anything I can use?
Mederma works very well, but scars can never totally be gone, it will just lighten them.
I used Mederma on some stretch marks after I had my daughter and it worked really well. plus I was tanning so that helped to. You can barely notice them now.I had Eczema and my face was scared. How do you remove the scars, is there any creams or anything I can use?

Getting rid of mild eczema without creams?
Ok so I had mild eczema when I was 10 (I'm 15 now) and it went away after I used creams for about a month or two but now I have it again on the inside of my elbows, on the right side of my belly button, on my left shoulder and on the top of my right hand. It's pretty mild but it just looks nasty and I want it gone lol. I've been using a cream again every now and then but the creams the doctors give you never dry in and it always sticks to your clothes and stuff.
Is there any pills that treat eczema?Getting rid of mild eczema without creams?
Use a hydrocortisone cream - you can buy it OTC or get a prescription for one. Use it sparinly, you don't need a lot of the cream and it shouldn't stick to your clothes. It works well I've had the issue myself and it usually resolves it within a week or two.Getting rid of mild eczema without creams?
I don't know about pills but a friend of mine takes oatmeal baths and uses ONLY dove soap... She says hers has significantly decreased on its own by religiously doing these things.
DON'T USE PILLS OR CREAMS ... Well you are 15 and I don't know what kind of medication you have used in the past, but when I was about your age I had mild eczema as well, and honestly I had tried EVERYTHING. If you like to tan, it sounds stupid but it works so good! get some minutes at a tanning salon and tan and I swear it will disappear! And you will have a nice tanned skin as well =)

What are some good creams for eczema?
My boyfriend has really bad eczema and is always scratching on his arms and legs. I tried buying him a couple of anti-itch creams but those didn't really help. Any advice? Any feedback on the product from personal use would also be great. Thanks! What are some good creams for eczema?
Aveeno anything is a band I trust. I have had super damn eczema since I was a new born. I know Aveeno will do nothing but help my skin. Try the oatmeal bath powder, and then try the intense moisture cream and lotion. There is also an Aveeno hydrocortisone. It helps with really bad areas. Good luck , I hope your boy feels better. What are some good creams for eczema?
You could try taking benadryl, that tends to relieve itching and swelling. Otherwise, Elidel works wonders, but I believe it's only available by prescription! Good luck!
you go on google.com and type in how do you treat eczema and it will tell you
doctors have intense healing creams that work really well

Hi,
I feel so sorry for you and your daughter. Yes there is a cure, it is just not well known in the United States and Europe.
This is a demo video to watch for the eczema cure as seen in Japan. It is not used in Hospitals all over the world yet 鈥?but as more people get this water then they will all see that Eczema is curable.

You should watch the video by clicking the link in the Source box below for more detail on the condition.
Because your daughter is so young, it makes it difficult-as eczema requires strict measures in order to get rid of it, because your daughter is so young, you may only be able to stop her from scratching, and use creams-which do not actually get rid of this condition (See video for further details)
The creams do not get rid of the eczema itself (The urge in which to itch); however they do treat the effects of scratching, cooling down the heat and redness, the tightness the rashes cause.
For gentle, immediate, but very temporary relief you can put a cool ice pack or cold press on her irritated areas. Not freezing mind, but the cool usually relieves the itchiness and can be quite soothing.

What are the best creams, soaps, lotions, etc. to treat eczema?
Cetaphil has a great line of soap and lotion for those that suffer from eczema. It is a little more expensive than regular soap and lotion, but in the long run it pays off. What are the best creams, soaps, lotions, etc. to treat eczema?
Generally use a steroid cream to treat active eczema (atopical dermatitis). You can get alot stronger ones by prescription than over the counter. A general rule of dermatologists is you do things to wet a rash if its too dry, and you do things to dry a rash if its too wet. You can have a secondary infection in such a rash, if you're not clean, which could require antibiotics. What are the best creams, soaps, lotions, etc. to treat eczema?
flax seed oil
PINE TAR SOAP; TEGRIN (a fancy pine tar saop)
Palmer's cocoa butter
goat milk soap from http://www.vagoatsoap.com
vaseline with no scent. nothing with scent will help. but to be exact vaseline intensive care Total moisture. should do the trick! you can get it anywhere.
hi I have ezcema all my life. I am 32 years old, married with two children now and i still get flare-ups. I use the good ole Vaseline nonscented and apply right after a bath. I used to use topisolon and mix it with the vaseline to streach it but I have stopped and only use when I have flareup. To bathe I use phisoderm as I am allergic to the popular cetaphil ( Cetaphil has a wide variety o soaps creams for excema).

My daughter has severe eczema, and tried many creams that don't seem to work, what do i use?
to work could someone recommendMy daughter has severe eczema, and tried many creams that don't seem to work, what do i use?
Over the counter products are just a waste of money and make the latter even worse. I advice you to opt for natural remedies. My daughter has severe eczema, and tried many creams that don't seem to work, what do i use?
I have a mild case of eczema but it gets worse in the winter but I use Aveeno Daily Moisturizing lotion. You have to put it on everyday after a shower because the hot water drys out your skin. Also make sure your daughter doesnt take extremely hot showers because it is not good for eczema. But Aveeno has worked the best for me, just make sure to use it after showers and when the skin is feeling dry.
The main cause of eczema is overreaction of the immune system. Identifying certain foods, chemicals, etc can be very helpful in battling this disease. I try to avoid soy and milk products which trigger my flare-ups.
After using number of prescription drugs I've turned to the natural treatments.
Now I use herbal remedies from serenaskin.com, which aim at the root of the disease - the immune system, and are steroid-free.
After about 2 weeks of using ointment and spray my skin has been cleared up and now I just continue with anti-eczema extract, which controls the immune system. My skin has been clear for months now.
It is the only treatment I have found that provides me complete relief when I use it as directed.
Hi
My big sister has eczema , she uses E45 she says it does help alot or you can get streoids from the doctors. If she has it on her hands or feet you can put some E45 in gloves or old socks and leave them over night on.
Hi, if your in the UK, try '; Savlon'; its an antiseptic healing cream. Its very good. Available to buy from any supermarket/chemist,doesn't cost much, comes in a tube like toothpaste .Good luck.
olive oil ,and e45 are good if not left on too long,ie 1 hr before showering, cut out sweets eat fruit drink water cut out dairy and bakery items and fresh air exercise
in canada there's aveeno cream, but try changing her diet and leave out dairy products.
go on the internet and see your doctor also
I also have severe eczema all over my face. Try aveeno or doublebase creams. They have helped me.
have you tried e45 or sudocrem?

Please Help!!! I have really bad eczema and it won't go away! I've had it all my life. My skin stopped being so itchy for about a year but then it came back. It's been going on for about 3 months now and I don't know what to do anymore. I've tried practically everything for my skin but not much seems to work. I get hives and bumps all over my arms and legs. My skin gets scarred and dry. I'm scratching my self to death in my sleep and every day!! please give me some advice! What are the best types of eczema creams that I can use? ?
Hello there. I suggest that you should look into natural remedies before subjecting herself to the steroidal and immunosuppressant drugs the official medicine today use for treating eczema. The side effects are worse than the disease itself. For me personally the herbal cream/spray combo from Champori.com works the best; and I spent many years looking for something that is safe, effective and fast-working. Try it: it comes with money back guarantee so if it doesn't work for your friend - it's free.
Cheers,
Bernadette

diabetes runs in my family. and one sign of you possibly getting diabetes is if you have a dark rough patch on the back of your neck and i actually have that. so in order for me to feel confident about wearing my hair up i bought some bleaching cream, which you can get from a walgreens, cvs, etc. so to shorten this..lol i kno i wrote kind of a lot..it minimized the appearance of the dark rough patch and it actually helped to make it smoother. any bleaching cream will do..the one that i have is in spanish (so i understand it) but i can not remember the name of it.acne scarring treatment
The only thing I would recommend is at the drugstore or grocery store, which is Mederma. It works very well to remove scars, both old and new. Costs about $18.I had Eczema and my face was scared. How do you remove the scars, is there any creams or anything I can use?

Aquaphor By Eucerine... My children use it daily.. You can buy it at CVS, but see if you Dr. can give it to you... I get 2 jars from mineI have Atopic Eczema I need creams to apply to My skin Any suggestions?
Nothing over the counter is going to help. You need to get something from the doctor. Lidex is wonderful!I have Atopic Eczema I need creams to apply to My skin Any suggestions?
Pick a lot of marigold (calendula) petals, put them in some boiling water and simmer them for a while (about 10 minutes I think). Ensure the mixture does not burn and that the petals have enough fluid round them to float. Strain off the fluid, let it cool. Now mix this with some vaseline and presto you've got your own eczema cream. I know, it works. My wife made it for my daughter and it gave the best result. Hannah had bad eczema to. Check the correct recipe on the internet, but I reckon this outline will do it.
I saw this very same question you asked and responded to that one in detail. Here's a link. Check it out!

What are the best creams to treat eczema on baby?at the moment im using epaderm on my daughter?
babies have very delicate skin. it is best that you consult a skin care expert to get some good treatments that can be suitable for your baby's skin. it is always good to use skin care moisturizer that comes all natural since it can be best for all skin type and for any age.
keep your baby's skin from skin irritants and allergens for these might trigger an outbreak. keep him hydrated by giving adequate amount of water to avoid the skin to become dry. for more tips about good skin care visit http://www.skinoriginal.comWhat are the best creams to treat eczema on baby?at the moment im using epaderm on my daughter?
Try eucerin or aquafore - those are the ones I recommend. Use neutral cleansing products - cetaphil.
No hot baths. Try to avoid more than one bath a day.
Pat dry - apply cream while still damp
No scents in soaps, detergents, etc....
If it still doesn't help, a dermatologist can prescribe other medications to help with flareups. But the big thing is to keep the skin as moisterized as possible - will reduce flareups.

Does anyone noe any creams that are great 4 eczema and the marks it gives you?
i used to use tea tree oil lotion a lot, it really helped
and I'm sure its a lot better for your skin that the usual steroid creams. and just keep moisturizing and try to avoid any new marks
and
i find allergy relief tablets help with the itchinessDoes anyone noe any creams that are great 4 eczema and the marks it gives you?
I've had eczema on various parts of my body for over 30 years. I've tried just about everything and most do not work for me. As prescriptions go, I use Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream 0.1%. Since I have prescription insurance coverage I can buy a 90 day supply for only $5.00. It works pretty well. For over-the-counter medication, simple hydrocortisone cream 1% works as good as anything. You can buy a generic version in the large size at Walmart (called Equate). If you don't have prescription coverage, you might check with Walmart. They have hundreds of prescriptions for only $4.00 for a 30 day supply. Of course, you would need a prescription from your doctor or dermatologist. One other note: I found my eczema was caused mostly by food allergies. I am very allergic to corn (including corn starch, corn syrup [in almost every candy and soft drink], and all forms of corn) and to sugar. My allergy is caused by a lack of enough enzymes produced in the pancreas to completely break down certain foods. To help that I take two over-the-counter supplments you can buy at any vitamin store or walmart called Pancreatin and another called Multi-Enzyme. They are usually in the Digestive Health area. I buy mine from VitaminShoppe.com online. Their products are made without any fillers, which often include corn starch and other things people are typically allergic to. They may help you, they may not. Good luck.Does anyone noe any creams that are great 4 eczema and the marks it gives you?
Hydrocortisone creams.
Or go to your dermatologist and he/she will perscribe something. I did years ago and i'm not sure of the name of the cream but it worked great. They'll know what to give you.

Eczema creams or regimens???
my son 23months has eczema very bad and I have tried all the creams doesn't seem to be helpin him!! He gets it really bad around his eyes and mouth as well as on his tummy and back and on his legs . some one please help!!Eczema creams or regimens???
My son (13 months) suffers from eczema as well. I use a combination of Aquaphor and cortisone extra strength cream (doctor recommended and both found at your local pharmacy). It really helps! The Aquaphor moisturizes and the cortisone helps heal while stopping the itch that causes him to scratch. Try to keep the area on his body lightly covered with a long sleeve T-shirts and sleep pants. This will allow the stuff to work and it will prevent him from scratching the area. Good Luck!Eczema creams or regimens???
Ahh I totally feel your pain. My 3 year old son has had eczema since he was 6 months..it gets SO bad. He was on Eledel cream and it worked but we soon found out that the cream had been linked to cancer in the blood stream. Nothing else seems to work..when it gets really bad I put benadryl cream on him right after his bath and then 'lock' the cream in with vaseline..then I put long pants and sleeves on him...You may want to take your son to an allergist...Good luck!
talk to an allergist my daughter has it mild and they put her on corticosteroid ( forgot which one) but I hope they have already done that for him. It might be something else than eczema have they ran blood tests to rule out any other '; problems'; If not you might want to see an allergy person to get the latest info. and to get him to run all the tests possible.
i used a cream called Eucerin. You can get it over the counter at any drug store and it works very well. You can continueto use it even when there is no eczema. Another thing to use is Aveeno products as well. Dove soap is good to use because it helps keep the moisture in the skin. Stay consistent with your product usage and you may have to switch or use mild soap to wash his clothes in
hope this helps
try the oatmeal bath and they sell oils and creams for eczema here is a good product
Have you tried Elica Cream (Shering Plough)?

What is are some good ointments/creams/gels for eczema? (THAT WORK)?
Now i've tried a lot of things. They turn out oily and blotchy and itchy and red and just a nightmare. They all failed and im not sure what to do. Im embarrassed of it and i want to be able to go swimming without wearing the ones with sleeves. Or wear tees without people being disgusted. So what are some ointments, creams, gels, etc that are good for eczema? And actually WORK.
Please and Thankyou. What is are some good ointments/creams/gels for eczema? (THAT WORK)?
It's horses for courses as they say. What works well for one doesn't necessarily work for another (with the exception of maybe steroidal medications; and those do more harm than good). You may want to try anti-eczema cream and spray by Champori : it is the best medicine for eczema in MY book (it's herbal and it's been keeping me clear for more than a year now). If it doesn't work for you - it's free: they have money back guarantee.
Best,

Why can't I find a cream or drug that will stop me itching and drying out. I have Atopic Eczema.?
I have been under the care of the dermatologist for 2 years and still i suffer really bad. I have been on the strongest drug to reduce the immune system, but i am still bad. If I put loads of moisturiser on it just layers up and makes me itch. The best one so far had been diprobase, but i still come home from work and then itch and scratch like crazy. I want to lead a normal life again. Any Ideas? Why can't I find a cream or drug that will stop me itching and drying out. I have Atopic Eczema.?
Palmer's coco butter is really good.my hands get really dry and sometimes crack and i find that's one of the best creams there is.also when i got abroad i love to sunbathe.i like the sun so much that my skin goes really really dry, and that puts so much moisture back in to my skin that after I've used it for about two week i don't have to use its for ages.you can get almost anywhere.i.e boots, superdrug, tescos, local chemist's.hope that's enough info. Why can't I find a cream or drug that will stop me itching and drying out. I have Atopic Eczema.?
ok then, my son has severe atopic eczema and we use hydromol in the bath and epaderm as a moisturiser, sometimes you don't need a steroid cream it is just a case of finding a good moisturiser, the ointments help my sons skin keep moist and it is fantastic to use in the summer as well as winter.

I totally agree with Lloyd. I suffer from psriosis it started about 10 years ago I too have tried all of the above creams to no avail I then came across Forever Living I was that impressed with this company I am now a distributor for them my website is
www.foreverbeealoe.com
I drink the Aloe gel 30ml daily and I apply the Aloe gelly which instantly relieves the itching, I also use the propolis cream which is a natural antibiotic made by bees to keep their hives germ free. My body was 70% covered in dry scaley itchy skin! I can now wear a skirt without tights (I used to wear at least 3 pairs!!) I am aware of how this condition can effect people (you will know what i mean by this) and it's not nice when others look at you, I was once asked by a little old lady how I had burnt my face innocently asked but it knocked my confidence back down to zero.
Aloe vera is able to penetrate all 7 layers of skin it heals from the inside out so it may get a bit worse before it gets better, I cannot guarantee this will work but believe me it is well worth a try and we do offer a 60 day satisfaction guarantee so you have nothing to loose by trying it.
If you would like any futher advice please don't hesitate to contact me either via email or my phone number is available on my website.

Give a try to anti-eczema cream from http://www.champori.com It is home-made herbal remedy and it cleared my condition in just under 3 weeks (and the itch stopped after the 1st application). I haven't had a relapse for over a year now and highly recommend it. (If it doesn't work for you - it's free: they have money back guarantee)

I have eczema around my mouth and my doctor prescribed me with hydrocortisone and e45 cream, but...?
He told me to use the hydrocortisone cream morning and night twice a day and i can use the e45 cream after it's gone. However, it's been 4 days now and i don't see a difference so i would like to use the e45 cream. (e45) it says that its recommended for eczema or chapped/dry/flakey skin and to be used 2-3 times a day. I want to use the cortisone WITH the e45 however i don't know how much of a gap i should leave between using the two. Like, should i wait 3 hours after applying the cortisone on my face THEN use the e45? please help!I have eczema around my mouth and my doctor prescribed me with hydrocortisone and e45 cream, but...?

I have Atopic Eczema I need creams to apply to My skin Any suggestions?
I've seen a number of dermatologists and I'm convinced they know nothing about eczema. Everything I have ever been prescribed has made it worse. Atopic Eczema would suggest that your skin is sensitive to certain substances that are very common in the modern world. Things your skin is probably allergic to. There are some minor lifestyle changes you can try to make things better, assuming you have not done so already.
First, check your laundry detergent. Make sure it is free of dyes and fragrances as these may irritate sensitive skin. If you wash your bedding and clothing in something you are allergic to, it will make your eczema much worse. Second, check your skin care products for dyes and fragrances as well. Women should use hypo-allergenic make-up. Third, don't take long or hot showers. Try to keep cool and hydrated. Heat and sweat seem to make it worse.
Many doctors think it has something to do with food; I think it depends on the person. I know if I eat too much chocolate it affects my skin. Try cutting down on junk food- this almost always helps a skin problem. Wheat is commonly said to be bad for people with eczema, I do not know how accurate this is, I usually say away from it to be on the safe side. Definitely drink lots of water- it's always good for skin care. I've heard taking vitamin B12 helps, but I have not tried it myself.
Over the counter products seem to work the best. Try the Aveeno line. They have a hydro-cortisone cream specifically for eczema and it is the only thing I find that works. Use it sparingly; cortizone isn't the best thing for your skin because it is a steroid, but it is our only option as eczema sufferers. For times between using the Aveeno cream, try Vanicream- you can get it over the counter. You have to ask the for it because they usually keep it behind the counter. Also try Aveeno oatmeal bath treatment. I even use it (the bath oatmeal) as a facial once a week or when my skin gets really bad.
Overall, the best thing to do is take care of yourself. Find out what your skin allergies are and accommodate them. Eat healthy and natural foods and drink enough water. Take your vitamins and try to stay as stress free as possible as eczema can be triggered by anxiety. Get enough sleep. Be on the look out for natural solutions- they are better for your skin than chemicals. There are many possible 'treatments' published online that include natural items like vinegar, oatmeal, honey, etc. You just have to try your own thing, everyone is different.

The hydrocortisone cream my doctor prescribed me with isn't working on the eczema i've had around my mouth.
I have had eczema around my mouth for two months. When i take a shower it seems to get redder and flakier. So i decided to see my doctor. He prescribed me with Hydrocortisone cream and E45 cream. He told me to use hydrocortisone cream twice a day, morning and evening and if after 7-10 days my eczema does not clear up to visit him again. It's been four days now and I don't see a difference. Should I either:
- Stop using hydrocortisone and start using E45 cream.
- Carry on using hydrocortisone cream until 7-10 days.
- Use both - but how much hours should i wait till i put the E45 cream after i put the hydrocortisone?
And, how can i take a shower without my eczema getting worse... I'm 14, this is my first time getting eczema and none of my family have had eczema or ashtma in their life
- much appreciated.. thanks! The hydrocortisone cream my doctor prescribed me with isn't working on the eczema i've had around my mouth.
Hi there, I have had eczema all my life so I know exactly how horrible it can be. My personal advice! Forget E45. I found it only dried my skin more and didn't moisturise or help with the flaking (it made it worse).
First thing to do is see your doctor about getting a stronger hydrocortisone. I have used Nerisone for the past 10 years and I swear by it. But you have to follow a few rules. Always wash the area first just with water. Then apply the cream, only a little and make it spread well, then it should be ok. If its on your body try to cover with just soft cotton garments. Nothing too heavy as this will aggravate the skin. If its on your face its going to dry up quickly so check it every hour or when you feel it getting dry. If it is, go and wipe the area again with cold water, make sure its clean then apply the cream again - sparingly. I would recommend this for 3 days, and you should see some results in this time. A warm 10 minute shower (not too hot) should be good for the skin, try a use a body cream like Simple - non fragrant for dry skin relief. If you're a guy, don't think this a girly thing, all skin needs to be moisturised to prevent is breaking and getting sore. Your skin will be dry quickly after a shower so its important to dry yourself and get into the moisturiser as soon as poss. I would also recommend showering again at night, to clean the skin and re moisturise. If you leave it the skin will get sore again. I am in my 30's and have had eczema since I was 2, so I've tried pretty much all the creams and lotions around. I really hope this helps and good luck. PS I have been 99.9 % eczema free for the last 12 years! The hydrocortisone cream my doctor prescribed me with isn't working on the eczema i've had around my mouth.
I have eczema on my hands and I had hydrocortisone cream and it didn't work and if you use it for long periods it can thin your skin, use the E45 at least 4 times a day it will hydrate your skin and should make a difference in about a week. Hope it gets better.
I have eczema on my eyelids- a dermatologist told me to apply the medication on the affected area, apply a warm washcloth on my eyelids for 5 minutes then reapply the medicine. The warm washcloth opens the pores so more of the medication is absorbed and when I reapply the medicine it is also absorbed more readily.

By the way, while you are having a flare up use gentle hypoallergenic soaps like Cetaphil instead of soap %26amp; gentle facial %26amp; body products.

You really are not supposed to use Hydorcortisone cream on your face. It can cause a rash and make an existing rash worse. It thins your skin and may cause enlarged blood vessels as well. (See: http://dermnetnz.org/acne/perioral-derma鈥?/a> )
If it is a 1% hydrocortisone cream, you may be okay with that because it is pretty mild, but if it is a 4%, then don't put it on your face. Your doctor should know this. The E45 cream would be fine to use.
Something else you could try...get a new hypoallergenic pillow and a freshly washed pillow case. (washed with a dye/ perfume free detergent.) You could be just getting a reaction from the pillow or the laundry detergent. OR, if you got new make up, you could be having a reaction to that.
The pillow is what happened to me. I went to the doctor for months before I tried a new pillow and it went away in about 3 days after I got a new pillow and new detergent. (my old pillow wasn't old and nasty, it was a fairly new down pillow). I have not had a flare up since I got that new hypoallergenic pillow. It has been 3 years now.
Best Wishes.
EDIT...sorry about the make up option, I just realized that you were male. oops. The hydrocortisone cream my doctor prescribed me with isn't working on the eczema i've had around my mouth.
My son has bad eczema and his dad, my ex, is a doc. Our son uses Elidel cream which works wonders for his eczema. Hydrocortisone cream never did much at all for him either. I believe you can use Elidel on the face, but it is prescription only. A dermatologist would be your best bet however I am sure any doc would prescribe it for you. Make sure you tell the doc that you have followed the hydro cream regimen exactly but still aren't getting results. Remember to also keep your skin hydrated. Within 3 minutes of taking a shower, moisturize the area affected by eczema. This helps, too. Your parents may want to get you tested for allergies since eczema/asthma/allergies are all related, but it is a common condition so don't worry about being the ';only one'; to have it. It is likely some of your ancestors or distant relatives had it, too.
Follow the doctor's directions unless the condition gets much worse. If you have questions about the directions call the doctor. 4 days is hardly time to cure the condition.
There are many causes of eczema. Your doctor has started with the simplest treatment that has the least side effects. There are more potent steroids which the doctor will prescribe in needed.
Wait for he 7-10 day dateline before switching. When did he say to use E45 cream?

Is there any reason not to use antihistamine cream for a prolonged length of time to treat eczema?
I have suffered with eczema around my eyes for around a year now and it gradually seems to have got worse, from a little dryness on my eyelids alone to a bright red rash all around and under my eyes.
The only thing that seems to work at the moment is Anthisan cream, an antihistamine. Whenever I stop using this the eczema comes back within a day or two. I have tried E45, Diprobase, Eicosanoil, Dermol, Cetraban and various other products and none seem to help much at the moment, even hydrocortisone does not seem to be overly helpful at the moment.
If the only problem with using anthisan is that I'll eventually become immune to its productiveness then I'm not worried - I'll just use it until I have to find something else. However, is there any other reason why it shouldn't be used long term?Is there any reason not to use antihistamine cream for a prolonged length of time to treat eczema?
Why not solve the problem rather than just trying to treat the symptoms?
If you live in the U.S., you are not going to solve the problem by going to doctors. Doctors in the U.S. can only follow this protocol or they will lose their license: First diagnose the illness and then treat it ONLY with drugs or surgery. They do not understand the body from a nutritional stand point and only follow allopathic medicine approaches and treat the symptoms.
The reason you have Eczema is most likely an adrenal gland and fat metabolism problem. You can get rid eczema forever and it only takes a few months.
If you are not getting good sleep at night ( 1 - 2 REM sleep periods ), this will not allow your adrenal glands to recharge properly and cause them to not work properly.
You need to eliminate ALL hydrogenated oils and especially genetically modified oils like Canola, Soybean, Cottonseed, and Corn. These are all being genetically altered and wreak havoc with your bodies immune system and fat digestion. Don’t be like a lot of uninformed Americans that eat these “vegetable” oils that are creating huge digestive problems.
Your liver and gall bladder need to be taken care of because if they are not working properly, you will not digest your fats correctly and this will cause the problem. Drugs like the Prednisone will damage your liver and the Magnesium Stearate are found in the ALL tablets will suppress your immune system. If you are eating a diet high in carbohydrates and low in fats, this is a big problem because the low fat diet will cause the bile in your gall bladder to become very viscous and not work properly, hence, not digest your fats properly. You need a diet that is balanced at 40% protein, 30% carbohydrates, and 30% fats to be healthy.
To correct the Eczema problem, if it were me, I would do the following and expect results very quickly.
Stop all medications, but make sure any steroids you have taken or are taking is slowly eliminated if you are taking these. Once you have stopped them, you are going to have to deal with lots of other digestive issues they have messed up.
Buy some ';pink sea-salt.'; This is salt that contains minerals and other ingredients that will help your problem. Take at least 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of this per day. Pink sea salt is a mixture of Hawaiian and Mediterranean sea salt.
Any drugs you have taken, killed your intestinal flora and you have Candida Albicans (yeast problem) that you are now going to have to deal with. This has stopped your body from producing “B” vitamins naturally. If you are itching, getting styes, ringworm, etc. this is most likely a good reason for this. It's not enough to take B vitamin pills to fix this, it won't, especially if you get the “B” Vitamins in a tablet from from drug stores or health food stores. This form of B vitamins will just be excreted by your kidneys as is evident by the yellow urine. You need to eat lots of fermented foods, like keifer, sauerkraut, miso (a good brand is Yamabuki), yogurt, etc.
I stongly suggest you go to this web site: www.healthline.cc (not .com) or call them at: (310) 320 – 1123 and order the ';Max Stress B'; product. I would take 1/4 teaspoon day one, and then increase it daily up to 2 teaspoons after one week. This is a very potent form of “B” Vitamin source that contains the ';end chain'; B's and is highly assimilated by the body. This will stop any itching you may have also within a couple days.
I would also purchase from the same company a product called Adrenal Complex. I would take 9 of these at breakfast each day. I know it sounds like a lot, but you need these herbs to go to work on your deficiencies.
If you follow this routine, you should be over the Ecxema problem within about 2 months and it should not return.
I would also change my diet to heavy omega 3 fatty acid foods such as WILD fish (not farm raised), Beef from grass fed cows (very high in omega 3 fatty acids), unlike the high omega 6 fatty acid garbage beef from grain fed cows sold in commercial grocery stores, flax seed products. Eliminate sugars, especially sodas (even diet sodas), white flour breads. This feeds the Candida and the phosphoric acid in the sodas is binding the calcium, magnesium, zinc, iron, potassium, etc. preventing absorption.
I would also purchase from that company the Betaine HCL and activator, as well as the digestive enzyme and take 2 to 3 Betaine HCL and 1 to 2 activators and take after each meal, and one digestive enzyme with each meal. I would also purchase the probiotic and take one in the morning and one at night. I would take it with keifer milk. You can take this even if you are lactose intolerant.
All this will change your life and you should not ever have to deal with that Eczema again. It really works. Then when you are cured, tell your doctor and educate him on how the body works. I hope he appreciates the advice, because you will not be going to him for medications and his services anymore for this problem.
good luck to youIs there any reason not to use antihistamine cream for a prolonged length of time to treat eczema?
My answer is a comment on ';onlymatch4u';'s answer.
This is a thorough and amazing post. I will be passing it on to a friend who suffers from eczema.
I fully agree with your analysis of medical treatment methods by doctors. My point is, that it is exactly the same in Australia. No one gets quality medical care in my experience. I am a sufferer, and have got nowhere in eight years and 17 visits including two hospital stays. Over $5000 wasted and I just gave up and decided to find the solution myself. Not to mention a prescription drug Lamasil tablets (for bad tinea) caused my intestinal problems in the first place. Its criminal in my opinion.
Some points:
Enzymes frighten me. My Gastro infection spread rapidly and seriously days after taking enzymes. Felt like I was urinating glass, and could feel ureters were infected. Never gone away just eased off.
Probiotics actually make a big difference to digestive discomfort.
You might mention smoking cessation is important. If you agree with this.acne scarring treatment

My eczema keeps coming right back after it clears up with the cream my doctor gave me......?
So it goes away for a couple of days and then it comes right back when I stop using the cream. I have asked two different doctors how long am I supposed to keep applying it and they always say until it goes away.....well I do that, but!!! I have even kept using the cream for a week after it%26#039;s gone hoping that would make it stay gone. I don%26#039;t like this cycle thing because I hear these rash creams thin your skin out over time, and that kinda creeps me out. I am not very thick-skinned to begin with!! I don%26#039;t use harsh face cleaners, i only use Eucerine or Cetaphil but that doesn%26#039;t seem to matter to my eczema. I heard that sulfur is good for eczema, so I use that at least once a week, but no results. How long did it take for your eczema to go away?|||Hi MAO
Here is a herb remedy that will work. For long term health learn about colon and liver cleansing to clear out the toxins in the blood.
This is healing at it%26#039;s highest point.
Be sure to drink around a gallon of filtered water daily to flush out excess waste and toxins.
Cleansing: Do a colon and liver cleanse to help rid of the toxins in the blood.
Cleansing: Your body is trying to let you know your blood has toxins. The body has to release the toxins some how and they escape through the skin. A colon and liver cleanse is the long term answer for a healthy body.
Best of health to you|||It%26#039;s in your blood. You have to pamper yourself for the rest of your life. It doesn%26#039;t go away...but your skin do smooth out.|||This may not be your problem, but my son would get eczema breakouts when he consumed milk products. Here is a herb remedy that will work. For long term health learn about colon and liver cleansing to clear out the toxins in the blood.
This is healing at it%26#039;s highest point.
Be sure to drink around a gallon of filtered water daily to flush out excess waste and toxins.
Cleansing: Do a colon and liver cleanse to help rid of the toxins in the blood.
Cleansing: Your body is trying to let you know your blood has toxins. The body has to release the toxins some how and they escape through the skin. A colon and liver cleanse is the long term answer for a healthy body.

When i take a shower, or put the cream that my doctor prescribed me with, my eczema around my mouth worsens y?
Im 14 years old and i%26#039;ve been suffering from eczema around my mouth for around two months. It%26#039;s an allergy to dove cream that started it. My doctor prescribed me with hydrocortisone cream and e45 cream. When i take a shower, my eczema turns really flakey and red. My biggest worry is the shower tho, I%26#039;m afraid to wash my face in the morning or take a shower. I really want this eczema to go, people in school say i have herpes and i suck penis. Septra cause eczema on my neck and arm, is the vanos cream good to cure it?
I was prescribed septra for acne on my face; however, it cause me to develop eczema on my neck and arms. I know that the septra cause the breakouts (even though my doctor denys it) because no one in my family has eczema. I was, then, prescribed vanos cream for the eczema and I stopped taking the septra. Claritin (for allergies) seems to work wonders without having to use a steroid cream. Also try goat%26#039;s milk soap like Zum Bar. Available in healthfood stores or look it up online. It is amazing how much difference natural soap and Claritin have made for us!

My 6 month old has eczema and cradle cap.how 2 cure it?best shampoo n cream?does it stay till they r toddlers?
johnsons honey shampoo or an oatmeal shampoo and body wash. any kind of baby lotion can help with the eczema and no typically it does not last until toddler stage. in some cases it has lasted that long, but very few that i have seen here. if it gets too bad, talk to pediatrician about it. there is a prescription out there for it.|||my daughter had pretty bad cradle cap and I used Dentinox cradle cap treatment shampoo and it cleared it up really quickly

I have eczema too, but mine is prolly not as serious as your condition. I have been consuming a product called imu6 and it has helped to stop my eczema outbreak. Imu6 is a colostrum by the way. Unlike creams that have healing functions, imu6 serves as a preventive measure, preventing the outbreak of eczema. I can%26#039;t be sure if it will completely heal eczema if taken in the long run because my eczema did resurface when I stopped consuming the product for about a month, but it appeared alot milder than usual. Well, I would think that it%26#039;s worth a try as there are no side effects involved. Feel free to drop me a msg or email me if you would like to find out more... I know eczema can be really frustrating.|||Sarna sensitive!!!|||I agree with some of the others, I would get a second opinion. I found that everyone has favorites and creams that work for them. Do NOT self-treat yourself with hydrocortisone. If you have cracks in your skin, or use it over more than a small area of skin, or cover it with a bandage, you can absorb too much steroid and have problems with side effects.

|||U have to be careful and not do things to overly irratate it. I no it%26#039;s hard, but go 2 different dermatoligsts and get second opinions on creams.|||I have extremely bad eczema myself. Going in pools with chlorine and the ocean really burned but it actually helps it it will dry it out. But two things that you can go to any store and get is selsun blue the shampoo when you shower or whatever use it like soap where ever the eczema is and wash it off. Also Noxzema** it comes in a tub type thing its a sort of creme for blemishes that really helps also, rub it on like a creme and do not wash it off. Most prescriptions that I have gotten havent helped any... basically made it worse, made me itch more. I would definitely try both the noxzema and selsun blue shampoo(its a bit expensive for shampoo) but it really does work for me. Hope this helps.|||I also have eczema. I would have to say that Aveeno is the best for me. It doesn%26#039;t burn or have a heavy fragrance. Eczema won%26#039;t go away, you%26#039;ll just have good and bad days with it. I was born with it and still have it as an adult. I stay away from lotions that contain aloe, lanolin as a main ingredient (if it%26#039;s at the bottom of the list, it%26#039;s usually not bad), cocoa butter, any type of dyes or heavy fragrances. I did get a prescription from my doctor that worked really well. It was a steroid cream, but didn%26#039;t burn. I can%26#039;t afford it, so I don%26#039;t use it anymore. The Aveeno works good for me...I use the one with the green label. Also, don%26#039;t take really hot baths or showers they only dry out your skin more. And use a body wash with moisturizers like johnson and johnson body wash, not soap to wash with. Stay away from soaps with dyes and heavy fragrances as well. I use Dove. (Not the body wash, just the bar) or the johnson and johnson bodywash. And put on lotion right after you get out of the shower, it will soak in better because your pores will be open then. Hope this eases the pain a little.|||when talking about eczema in teh worst case teh BEST person to ask about that would be ur dermatologist. I was allergic to alot of the expensive creams and the one%26#039;s I wasn%26#039;t allergic too didn%26#039;t fix the problem, they were just a temporary relief but only for a few hours. I finally tried Arbonne%26#039;s Anti-Aging NutrimenRe line and that was my answer. Every Christmas and birthday now my husband allows me to spend $150 for my 6 month supply (some of the products last me longer but the average is 6 months for the entire product line) and it keeps my eczema CURED and not just %26quot;improved%26quot;. If you can find an Arbonne rep near you they%26#039;ll usually let you try the product line for free for a weekend so you can see if it helps. I knew by the second day that the product was making a dramatic difference in my skin. FYI- I%26#039;m assuming the eczema is on your face. If that%26#039;s not the case then you could still try one of the Antiaging body creams or L%26#039;Occitane products. Both are excellent for the body treatment of eczema but Arbonne%26#039;s the only one that worked for my face.|||I also have bad eczema, has your doctor recommened Elidel, its a non-steroid based cream, and the only thing that helps me get rid of my exzema. Although this is a black-box product and your doctor may be hesitant to prescribe it to you.
FDA Drug Warning
As of January 19, 2006, the FDA has approved a black box warning for Elidel and Protopic about a possible cancer risk from these drugs. It is important to note that although they are adding the warning, %26#039;a causal link has not been established,%26#039; and reports of cancer have been %26#039;rare
