The area around my nose gets extremely red and dry and I have tried every cream on the market - I want to use something everyday that does not have any bad ingredients (such as cortizone or steroids) please advise! What can i use treat the eczema around my nose and ears with besides cortizone or steroid creams?
My nephew has eczema pretty bad so we have used Eucerin and also Mometasone Furoate Cream perscribed by his doctor. They both pretty well, but Eucerin seemed to do the trick and his is virtually cleared up. Everyone is different though. What can i use treat the eczema around my nose and ears with besides cortizone or steroid creams?

Hi Jamil
Here is a herb remedy that will work.
1. Take 1-3 droppersful of Echinacea Plus Tincture (at herbdoc.com or another qualified site) to strengthen the immune system.
2. Rub Garlic oil ALL over the affected area (Garlic will kill anything if you use enough of it)
3. Give 1-3 glasses of Activated Charcoal Slurry per day (to absorb the toxins out of the blood)
4. Mix equal parts of Aloe Vera Gel, Slippery Elm Powder and Activated Charcoal Powder together (absorbs the toxins externally)
5. Apply a thin layer of this mixture over the AFFECTED area(s).
6. Continue this treatment, until the desired Results are achieved.
This is healing at it's highest point.
Cause
Eczema is often called Dermatitis, and may be a symptom of an omega-3 fatty acid deficiency. Eczema can be due to allergies, allergies secondary to digestive disorders such as hydrochloric acid deficiency, rashes secondary to immune diseases, genetic metabolic disorders, and/or nutritional deficiencies, especially of niacin (vitamin B3) and B6, as well as other B vitamins.
To minimize your risk of developing eczema, avoid irritating substances, wear natural nonirritating materials, use soothing ointments, and check to see if dietary, nutritional, and/or and allergy-causing factors need to be considered.
Other ideas that will help:
Juice Therapy: The following juice combinations can help speed healing: black currant and red grapes; carrot, beet, spinach, cucumber, and parsley; and wheat grass juice.
Nutritional Supplementation: Vitamin A and GLA (gamma-linolenic acid), an omega-6 essential fatty acid found in high quantities in evening primrose oil, have both been shown to improve the symptoms of eczema. Vitamin E. Other useful supplements for preventing and reversing eczema include vitamin B complex, vitamin B6, vitamin E, magnesium, and zinc.
Topical Treatment: Apply evening primrose oil directly to cracked and sore areas of the skin. A topical paste made from ginkgo and licorice root extract has also been shown to improve eczema symptoms.

I had that over 75% of my body when I was a kid- there was no cream on the market that made it go away- essentially my doctor told me I would just have to live with it. Years later, I met a doctor who told me I was allergic to something I was eating and that it was making my skin react. I booked an appt with her and through a whole bunch of food allergy testing, I discovered that I had a reaction to potatoes, wheat and selected dairy products. I stopped eating the things that irratated me and it all went away. I can eat them all now sparingly and sometimes have a very very mild reaction but not very often. I was told that most peoples skin problems are a result of diet- basically taking in something your body doesn't like. Generally people think a food allergy has to result in a life threatening situation so they don't take it into consideration. Hope this helps in some way!
dairy products are the worst cause of eczema in children. cut these out of diet for a month and you should see an improvement.
try good old fashion oatmeal mix it just as package recommends and as it starts to cool to room temp rub it on ,its low cost and no doc. required leave on for about 10 min it take the itch out and puts alot of moisture in and you can apply it as many times as you like in a day .
Go and see your doc...ask for Fucibet 1% it takes out the redness reduces itching and is oily so gives a protective coating failing that try Bio oil from your local chemist it's good stuff and prevents scaring.
If she had weeping excema you really need to see your doc and ask him to show you how to wet wrap(time consuming but works wonders)
Vaseline! The best moisturizer EVER
I get it bad. I use betnovate 4 in 1.

I suspect an undiagnosed food allergy, likely wheat, soy, eggs, dairy or nuts. Does it get worse within 36 hours of her consuming any of these foods? If she eats them daily, like bread, it will cause an ongoing problem that wont resolve until the toxin is eliminated. When we took my niece off of wheat and soy, her eczema cleared right up
I've had breakouts all my life. :-(
Now I'm 25 and I get small patches here and there, the worst was when I was in my teens.
I use Eucerin cream (I now buy the Walmart version which is like $3!) Really good after a shower/bath before bed. I put it on, (sometimes I don't even blend in), and the next morning my skin is so soft and hydrated.
Sarna Lotion is really good for the itch. They sell it at drugstores in the medicated lotion/first aid aisle. I would reserve this for nighttime since the smell if very strong (smells like halls cough drops!)
Betamethasone is great too. They have generic Walmart or Target creams or ointments that contain this as an active ingredient.
My son has had eczema on his legs since he was born, he'll be two next month.
It doesn't give him any discomfort it just looks like it does.
When bathing him afterwards I put vaseline on his legs.
I can feel for your daughter. Sometimes I break out with eczema sometimes. Try something that has shea butter in it. I have use aveeno and so far I have been find. If nothing else works, maybe take her to the doctor and the doctor might give her some medicated lotions to use.
Eucerin is a good lotion, and it doesn't have irritating scents and oils. If not, Hydrocortizone cream. It's medicated cream.
Hve u tried starflower oil? You can get if from herbalists, my cousin uses it and swears by it.
You would be crazy not to use Repcillin, it can be found in Yahoo Stores or on eBay. It will help the eczema, read the Blog link below and tell me what you think?
You can buy it in the USA from http://www.africancures.com but visit http://www.repcillin.com to read more

My daughter is 8.has slight eczema, her skin is always';ashy';and she itches a lot.any good creams or lotions?
You have to try out different things, but beware, stay away from prescriptions like Mylicon etc. They have hormones in them that can affect her in the long run. Some of the great ones are lotions that are non greasy but moisturizing. Natural stuff like cocoa butter cremes with no additives and all natural stuff. Oatmeal baths are wonderful and avon has a great line call moisture therapy which works greatMy daughter is 8.has slight eczema, her skin is always';ashy';and she itches a lot.any good creams or lotions?
Aveeno lotions are good. My daughter has same problem. My daughter is 8.has slight eczema, her skin is always';ashy';and she itches a lot.any good creams or lotions?
my daughter has eczema. i started giving her cold liver oil every morning; sold at health food stores, they have kids varieties. she has been taking it for 4 months and hasn't had one more rash since the week after i starting giving it to her. it's worth a try cause it's worked so well for us...good luck.
diprobase is very good for eczema. it's a prescribed cream and is basically a very very good moisturiser!! it may help the itching by making it less dry. a varient of this product is doublebase
My step daughter had eczema also, we used Johnson %26amp; Johnson specifically for that problem. It's like vaseline but absorbs quicker. It's a light green tube about 6 oz. You might find it in the baby section where they have wipes and diapers. Works great! I actually used it on my heels and the cracks went away! Try it!
Any lotion is fine, but to be honest using a cream or ointment base would be better if your daughter has eczema.
Lotions all have alcohol in them, this helps them dry quickly (with no greasy feeling) but unfortunately dries out some of the moisturizing properties as well.
I prefer a cream like Eucerin, or a petroleum base like vaseline petroleum jelly or Aquaphor. They are much better moisutizers for skin. They may be a little greasier when you put them on, but are MUCH more effective. Use at least twice a day and *immediately* after bathing.
My son has eczema pretty bad. In my opinion, the prescription creams do not work. We use Aveeno, Lubriderm, %26amp; eczema body wash. I've noticed that the Aveeno and Lubriderm lotions work the best.
My 5 month old has eczema on her face. We give her extra vitamin c and lately it seems to have cleared up. This also worked with my three year old son. As far as creams, my husband has severe eczema and he uses Eucerin, but lately we have been using an all natural cream made of Calendula and Comfrey for him and the baby. I also put flax oil on her eczema, because people with eczema are lacking in certain fatty acids and it really helps. You can buy it in a natural food store.
Vaseline skin care is good.
Cetaphil lotion, and soap. My mother has that and it has gone away since she has been using that.
in my town is a great soap store. all natural products.
when my baby was about a month old his face was all red from eczema. i used their pumkinsoap every day twice for a week and his face was all healed!!! here is their homepage:
www.rockymountainsoap.com
I really recommend that soap!!! Like i said before, it's all naturel!!!
Try the Eucerin cream, its expensive but its worth it
All the people I know with excema have a prescription cream from their doctor.
i use Eucerin cream on my son and i also use Aveeno. The problem is that most lotions are not fragrance free and have alcohol in them so look at the label and make sure it says alcohol free and/or fragrance free. baby product are very sensitive so try that

My 2 yr son has eczema & we've seen many specialists, allergists. Tried various creams, what else can we do?
Exczema is an allergic reaction to something. Try eliminating one thing at a time from his diet and environment.
Tea tree oil works great to stop the outbreak, but nothing cures exczema except eliminating the allergen(s) causing it. Most allergists deal only with pollen caused allergies. It could be anything - laundry soap, cleaning products used in the home, food types, dyes used in food or clothing items, colognes/perfumes, lotions, etc.
Mine always breaks out when I eat something with tomato sauce in it (lasagna, pizza, spaghetti, etc.), but since I love some of those foods, I still eat them, just not very often. :)My 2 yr son has eczema %26amp; we've seen many specialists, allergists. Tried various creams, what else can we do?
Just for your info Renew skin lotion has high grade tea tree oil in it. But it is non drying so it works better than plain tea tree oil. Report Abuse

I've had success with applying a clay mask to the affected areas and leaving it on an hour or more. Also, I'm starting to hear that it might be due to a B-12 deficiency, which would make sense in that I have a problem with that.
I just did a google, and it does look like topical B-12 will help and should be available in a few months.
try useing a blood tonic.
Burdock and Yellow Dock decoction works by cleansing the blood( in his case make it weak)
also use Flax seed oil capsules or liquidacne scarring treatment

Are there any creams that will take away eczema or paralasiz??
Hey again. I was wondering if there was any creams that I could use for my skin. I've tried all sorts of creams that you can think of but it doesn't help at all.I've went to a dermatologist but it still is here. My skin is so dry sometimes it itches soo bad it burns, and is painful. It is on the inside of my arms, and it's on my chin. I hate scratching it, because it makes it worse, and very red.It used to be worse to a point where I couldn't even smile hardly. It looks like tiny little squares on my arms, with lines.Red and sore. I don't know what to do. I wear long sleeved t-shirts on me so no ones sees my arms, but there isn't anything really that I could do to cover my face except for my pink scarfe. Even if anyone has home-made creams that they could tell me, that would be great. I can't use scented creams though, it burns like very badly, and that makes it worse. And any suggestions also would be very great. Thank you and God Bless you all!!.Are there any creams that will take away eczema or paralasiz??
I had a weird eczema on my face that wouldn't get solved by cream and was driving me crazy. I started using the masque by Natura Essence (100% natural, organic and not full of nasties). I did the masque every day for a week...and it was gone. I now use the masque 3 times a week, and it hasn't returned. I had the problem with it for THREE YEARS. It's been over a year now, and my skin is great.
I also use their body moisturizer (all over...also as a face cream...I have their face cream too, but use that at night...as its a great night cream).
I think they sell body masques, and bath sets (I've seen them on their website). Good luck! I know what it is like to have that kind of problem, so I hope this helps! Are there any creams that will take away eczema or paralasiz??
another all natural product - you just have to find one that works for you.
This worked fabulously for my daughter's eczema, and I used it instead of the cortisone for her. It stopped the itching in the first 3 applications, which is the best thing, and the eczema went down slowly.
they sell samples to see if it works for you, and its easy to try their products.
its called Surestop to eczema at www.katuri.com
they say atleast 60% reduction in most cases.
good luck to you

What is the best cream to use for Eczema?
My 5 year old son has severe exczema. I have tried everything on him. Elidel worked for a little bit, but he would get used to it and break back out. (Then it was reported that it could cause cancer, so...) Other creams like Eurcerin and Aquaphor broke him out worse and would burn when I put it on him. His Dr. prescribed Pro-Topic, a cream that's applied everyday. It is the best thing he's ever had. Within 1 day his legs and arms were clearing and he was hardly scratching. And it doesn't burn! Lavender seems to work for him as well--even just the lavender baby bath. Vaseline works as well, but it must be applied within 5 mins after getting out of the bath, since that's when your body loses most of it's moisture. (I use Vaseline with lavender and chamomile on Micah) Also, you should only stay in the bath for about 15 mins and bathe in lukewarm water. Use a plain soap with no perfumes--original white Dove bar soap is the best. Good luck and I hope this helps! What is the best cream to use for Eczema?
I have heard that either Eucerin or Aquaphor are recommended for babies. Also, talk to you doctor but I have heard that you should check to see what is causing it- either a food allergy, contact from clothing, and/or bath soap (I know my DD is sensitive if we bathe her too frequently, and we used regular Dove soap for a while). What is the best cream to use for Eczema?
Eucerin
Eucerin
This stuff works wonders, especially if applied right after an oatmeal bath:
http://www.epinions.com/content_17774585鈥?/a>
It's all but eliminately my daughter's eczema
I have found that Eucerin worked the best for my family, one of my nieces and one of my nephews and my son all suffered from Eczema and we all have used this cream and found it to work well... my niece did have a more serious case and was seeing a dermatologist who also recommended this cream...
My granddaughter has eczema and we use Gold Bond Medicated body lotion on her, the ';triple action relief for extra dry %26amp; itchy skin'; formula. It works great. A nurse in her doctors office also recommended plain ol' shortening, like Crisco that comes in the tub. We prefer the Gold Bond because of the scent, but the Crisco did work.

definitely eucerin, cetaphil is also good for milder eczema
Eucerin is the best. My daughter had eczema and it worked great!
Elidel its a perscription but the BEST OF ALL
Lots %26amp; lots of Eucerin cream (not lotion). Also can try vaseline or Aquaphor. Apply cream after washing with warm water, when skin is still moist. For medicated ones, try hydrocortizone %1. If all fails, need to see a doctor for stronger medicine.
My physician recommended Eucerin.
eucerin or aquaphor for babies. My baby has it and the doctor gave me locoid lipocream. But you take a bath and use eucerin after each bath and that will help
I had prescription cyclocort (a cortizone cream) that was the absolute best. I have also used elocon on the kids eczema- As for an over the counter cure I swear by Bagbalm- it keeps the moisture in, does not irritate or burn and is also an antiseptic. I use it for many healing areas and not just eczema- but diaper rash and cuts. You can find it in a pharmacy or in the pet section of a store (it was designed for chapped cows udders) My daughter had lip repair as a baby and she had to use it on her stitches on her lip as per doctors orders. Its safe and effective!
I have eczema and I use auquaphor you can get it at wal-mart and it works wonders, I even went to a dermatologist nothing works like this stuff

eucerin or aquaphor for babies.
I had Eczema and my face was scared. How do you remove the scars, is there any creams or anything I can use?
No surgery or anything super expensive... just at home treatments, thank you in advanceI had Eczema and my face was scared. How do you remove the scars, is there any creams or anything I can use?
Mederma works very well, but scars can never totally be gone, it will just lighten them.
I used Mederma on some stretch marks after I had my daughter and it worked really well. plus I was tanning so that helped to. You can barely notice them now.I had Eczema and my face was scared. How do you remove the scars, is there any creams or anything I can use?
