my baby has eczema on her elbows, wrists, and below her eyes and most of the nights i wake up because she keeps scratching her eyes... pleasee help me!|||Elidel. It is a eczema cream that has been around only the last 4-5 yrs, it is a non-steroid cream, which is a bonus since steroid creams can damage a young child%26#039;s skin. My daughter used to have eczema until she was about 3 1/2yrs old (I got her prescription for Elidel just before she turned 3) then it completely went away. But the cream worked great, when I used it on her dry patches it would totally heal it within a few days and my daughter would stop scratching the minute I put it on. Ask your doc for a prescription of Elidel, it is specifically made for babies all the way to adults and was the first approved non-steriod medication for babies.|||AquaPhor.|||Aveeno baby lotion with oatmeal in it. it says right on the bottle that it is good for babys with eczema. because thats what i use on me and i have horrible eczema. and its the only lotion that works.|||dr johnson baby cream|||Find a lotion with emollients in it and rub her down good 3 times a day. AquaPor is also good. Elidel did not work for my 1 yr old. Keep in mind that all lotions, cremes, etc work best if applied within a few minutes of getting out of the bath. Also, unless she really need one sooner, try to give her a bath every 2-3 days. My youngest had it so bad that we had to put socks over her hands and tape the socks to her pjs at night. She was on a steriod creme and several different lotions for most of the 1st year, then a friend suggested we use Cetaphil soap for her bath and the moisturizing creme 3 times a day and after about 2 wks we stopped using the steroid creme and within a month after that we stopped having to put the socks over her hands. She is now 16 mos old and we still use the Cetaphil soap for every bath and the lotion every day. We also have to use the All free and clear detergent and the Bounce dye free static sheets.
Good luck|||Eucerin cream The thick kind. My childs Pedatrician percribed it for my daughtor, but you can get it over the counter in the beauty dept.|||My 9 month old baby has eczema pretty badly also. I highly recommend Baby Eczema Cream by Gentle Naturals. It has Winnie the Pooh and Piglet on the tube--easy to spot. Anyway, it is amazing stuff, i put it on her at night, and in the morning it is almost impossible to tell where it was to begin with. Hope that helps. I was able to buy it at Walmart.|||Good cream is Hydrocortisone 1% anti-itch cream. This can be prescribed by a doctor or Walgreens, Walmart, anywhere.
For lotion I use Eucerin on my daughters. It is a little more pricey, but it is one lotion that does not cause an allergic reaction. Good luck!|||Poor little girl...if feel for both of you.
Have you checked her for an allergy? Eczema is usually a reaction to an allergy and the creams usually given for Eczema treat the symptoms rather than the cause.
Good luck...|||Oh, that is terrible! Go to a doc and get some type of steroid cream. Nip it in the bud! Otherwise it will turn into psoriasis and that is a nightmare! Believe me, I had psoriasis for 20 years and it sucks! I wish you the best.|||Aveno is wonderful|||Try giving her oatmeal baths before bed followed by the aveeno made for eczema. It worked for my niece.|||Sorbolene is good and effective.|||Eucerin creme is good...however, if she hasn%26#039;t been to a doctor you might want to take her in to find out what you can use for her eyes.|||My three year old has eczema and the pharmacist told us to use Hydrocotisone Cream. It helps stop the itch and it does not have steroids in it. We were using Aveeno Anti-Itch lotion but if she scratches the lotion will burn her sores. I would not suggest putting anything on her face until you talk to your doctor.|||I know it sounds odd, but 2 of my kids have light eczema and a friend told me to try bagbalm, I did and it works great! The rash on their hands and face went away! Better than Aveno!|||EUCERIN...it works its great!
